Trust Busting
Trust busting was a continuous chain of acts done by president Theodore Roosevelt to reduce the power of management and big business. It bean with him splitting the railroad conglomerate of the northeast and other railroad companies. however, every time Roosevelt broke a trust it would reform under a new name. Because of this in 1890 he passed the Antitrust Act. This act stopped new Trusts or similar organisation from forming. He ended is trust busting campaign when he broke standard oil (their refinery is seen above) into Exxon, Chevron, and Mobil.
